Welcome to our company website. I am Francois du Toit, the founder of FDT Financial Architects.

Born and raised in Tulbagh, Western Cape, my journey in accounting began at Stellenbosch University. My professional experience includes working at esteemed firms such as Greenwoods Accounting, where I completed my articles and qualified as a Chartered Accountant, and PR Niven, where I honed my skills in audit, accounting, and taxation.

After returning to Cape Town, I took on various Financial Manager roles, gaining a deep understanding of financial operations across different industries. For the past six years, I have specialised in tax and accounting for individuals and small businesses, staying updated through continuous education and industry seminars.

My core values of dedication, honesty, and integrity guide all my interactions. Balancing a fulfilling career with family life. I enjoy running and spending quality time with my loved ones.

Education

  • Matriculated at Tulbagh High School in 2004
  • Studied accounting at the University of Stellenbosch from 2005 to 2008.
  • Completed both undergraduate and honours degrees in accounting.
  • Completed 3-year articles with Greenwoods Chartered Accountants (now Baker Tilly Greenwoods) from March 2009 to February 2012.
  • Passed the 2 board exams and qualified as a CA(SA) in March 2012.
  • Worked as an audit manager for PR Niven in Kempton Park until July 2013.
  • Returned to Cape Town in July 2013 and took on Financial Manager roles.
  • Engaged in tax and accounting service provision since October 2017.
